Hi I recently pre-ordered the Late 2016 Touchbar-Macbook Pro and I'm currently awaiting delivery. I'm very positive towards the new MacBook Pro with the beautiful and sleek design as well as increased performance and the new possibilities that come with the touchbar. However, I have stumbled upon a couple of scenarios, where I believe the toucher could be a bit inconvenient. As an example, on my current Mid-2012 Macbook Pro, I experienced a couple of times where my laptop froze completely and had no functionality whatsoever, and the only way that I could do was to press the power-button for 5 seconds to force-turn-off the laptop. If this happened on the new model, I would imagine that also the toucher would be frozen like the rest of the operation system, how do I then power down the laptop?
Is there an actual button beneath the Touch-ID that will work at all times, are do you have to dismount the battery to cut power if you end up in a situation like that? Also, I sometimes find the need to force-quit rogue programs that are not responding and therefore slow down the laptop, but to do that I need the command+alternative+escape -buttons.
With the esc-button now on the touchbar, when I'm using an application, I won't have acces to that. Is there a possibility that you can customise the touchbar so the esc-button will always be there? Hopefully, no one will have those problems with the new MacBook Pro's, but I am just curious to know what the product will be like in the long-run when spending that kind of money.
I know that the problems I am talking about are probably quite rare, but a top-knotch product like this should have a way to work around this, like if the touchbar is running separately, so that if the system freezes, you can still use the touchbar to turn it off. I hope someone has the answers to these questions and can help me. Thanks in advance!
